Asparagus, ham and cheese strudel

Ingredients
250 g asparagus
100 g ham
130 g strakì Sterilgarda
1 puff pastry roll
1 egg
to taste salt
Preparation
  1. Cut the hardest stem of the asparagus and, after washing them, cook them al dente in hot salted water or steam.
  2. Once cooked, drain the asparagus and place them in a colander to cool.
  3. Cut the cooked ham into small pieces and add it to the Strakí Sterilgarda, mixing everything carefully.
  4. Add the chopped asparagus to the mixture, mixing carefully so as not to risk breaking the asparagus.
  5. Roll out the puff pastry, pierce the center with a fork and place the mixture created previously on it. Close the puff pastry to create the classic strudel shape.
  6. Brush everything with the beaten egg and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 30/35 minutes until the strudel is well cooked and golden.
  7. Let the strudel rest on a rack for a few minutes.
  8. Slice the asparagus strudel with ham and cheese and serve at a lukewarm temperature.
