Croque Monsieur

Ingredients
250 g ham
250 mL bechamel Sterilgarda
120 g gruyère
8 slices of bread
Preparation
  1. Toast the slices of bread in the toaster or in the oven until lightly golden.
  2. Place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Spread a scant spoonful of Sterilgarda Béchamel on each slice.
  3. Sprinkle with some Gruyère, grated with a coarse grater.
  4. Add the ham.
  5. Cover with another scant tablespoon of béchamel and more Gruyère.
  6. Close the sandwiches with the remaining 4 slices of toasted bread and complete with more béchamel sauce and cheese.
  7. Brown under the grill at maximum power for about 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and golden.
  8. Serve the croque-monsieur hot and stringy.
